The Importance of Verifier Nodes

To prevent system manipulation and ensure fair data value distribution, third-party verification of TEE attestations is necessary. This need drives our active pursuit of community participation in operating these verifier nodes, reinforcing the network's robustness.

A single honest node can detect fraudulent activity, but to ensure significant enforcement against misbehaving TEE nodes and protect user data, at least half of the nodes need to operate honestly. Establishing a decentralized network of community nodes is crucial not only for securing the protocol but also for its scalability.

By Q3 2024, verifier nodes will take on additional responsibilities, such as verifying Nubila DB, an Autonomous Virtual Storage (AVS) built on Eigenlayer, to ensure reliable content storage for each operator. By Q4 2024, the scope will broaden to include securing Nubila Link, an on-chain Oracle/Attestation service that seamlessly integrates data from both Web2 and Web3 sources into the Nubila Network, creating immense value for users and businesses.
